LONDON HAT WEEK EXHIBITION 2019

POSTAL-CARD

Stavroula P. Spyrou presented her Hand-embroidered and Hand beaded Headpiece °Postal Card - Καρτ Ποστάλ° at “The Great Hat Exhibition 2019”  by Xterrace and London Hat Week at Menier Gallery in London, UK.

3-12 April 2019

The summers, the smell of roses was intense. Our height is less than the height of flowers. Their petals are velvet.

Full red syrup. These gardens have planted care hands, hard or tender fingers, with golden wedding rings that shined in the sun, love.

Magic drunkenness, the hide-and-seek at the green leaves. Later, memories were hosted in a new garden, on the floor of a capital city.

On the big streets weigh down the shades of the fruit trees. Bitter oranges and lemon blossoms, narrators of a long history.
Gardens, as a sign of hospitality, beauty, decoration. On the marble of palace and in the glass jars as a spoon sweet.
The flower is a Greek symbol. It predominated on bridal laces, woven fabrics, coats, it was arriving to lover on a postal card.
Waiting for embrace became sweeter when the postman was delivering the paper bouquet, of image.
The family albums are full of these waiting smells. The view of gardens, erotic, peaceful, family, Greek gardens is the new collection
of headpieces and hats of milliner Stavroula Spyrou.

The milliner recreates the children’s memories of Greek gardens in a new fragrant collection of hats and headpieces.
As a postal love card, like elements of engravings that gaze standing, drinking sour cherry juice in the quiet noon.
The creator, starting with Greece and England, travels her work to the rest of Europe and beyond.
